RAJOURI, May 3: The police seized three vehicles loaded with 13 bovine animals and arrested four alleged smugglers from Nowshera area today.
Reports said a police party led by SHO Nowshera, Y P Jamwal under the supervision of SDPO Pardeep Singh intercepted three mini-trucks bearing registration numbers JK-11/485, JK02AD/393 and JK02AC/1149 in Nowshera area and found 13 bovine animals being smuggled to Valley via Mughal road. The police arrested four persons including three drivers and a trader in this connection.
Those arrested were identified as Muzaffar Iqbal, son of Mohd Razaq, Mohd Parvez, son of Noor Mohd, Mohd Yasin, son of Mohd Latief of Kalakote and trader Showkat Javed, son of Abdul Latief, resident of Khabla in Thanna Mandi. The police registered a case in this connection.
