BISHNAH, Nov 30: Senior Congress leader and member AICC, Mohinder Bhardwaj has claimed that farmers throughout the country particularly those residing in border areas are passing through a bad phase due to total neglect by the Government and failure of the ruling BJP to fulfill its promises with them.
Addressing a public meeting in support of Congress candidate, Manohar Lal Motton, contesting DDC elections from Bishnah block, Bhardwaj said, the farmers were already reeling under debt and neglect and the three farm laws further worsened their plight and forced them to come on roads.
“Congress party under the directions of its president, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi is fully supporting farmers’ cause and will do everything to get their problems resolved,” the Congress leader said.
He asked the people to use DDC elections as an opportunity to express resentment against the Government as well as the ruling BJP by defeating its candidates as BJP has allegedly specialized in the art of lies to hoodwink public.
Bhardwaj claimed that Congress has a track-record of working for the upliftment of poor, downtrodden, underprivileged in particular and all other sections of the society in general.
“I am fully committed to the overall development of Bishnah-Arnia blocks and will continue to fight for this cause in the time to come,” he further claimed.
Congress candidate from block Bishnah, Manohar Lal Motton appealed voters to vote for him so that he may not leave any stone unturned in growth of rural areas of Bishnah block and plead the cause of farmers, labour and downtrodden people of villages of Bishnah block.
Ashok Dubey, organizing secretary, PCCI while addressing the public talked about ‘economic reforms’ initiated by successive Congress Governments.
Among others who addressed the gathering were Prem Sharma, Deepak Singh, Joginder Singh and Tara Singh.
