SAMBA, Dec 1: Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs and in charge of the Jammu and Kashmir DDC elections Anurag Thakur, has announced the end of an era of decades long atrocities on Jammu and Kashmir people by the Gupkar Alliance who ruled the erstwhile State for a long time.

While addressing election rallies for DDC elections at Nagri, Marheen, Ghagwal, Dinga Amb, Duj Shezada Basti at Samba he said Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will win these elections by an overwhelming majority.
Former J&K BJP president and Ex Minister, Sat Sharma, J&K BJP vice-president and Prabhari district Kathua, Yudhvir Sethi, Rashpaul Verma, Jangbir Singh Chiku, former MLA, Kuldeep, Janak Bharati, DDC candidate, Neelam Devi, DDC candidate Karan Atri, DDC candidate, Suresh Kumar Phalli, Sarpanch Shivdev, Asha Nand, Sarpanch Balwant, DDC candidate Rimi Charak, Naresh Goswami, Vicky Sharma, Rajesh Mehta, Vishal Parihar and others were also present in the rallies.
Anurag Thakur said, “The `Gupkar Alliance has tortured Jammu and Kashmir and its people for decades,. The trio of Mufti-Abdullah-Congress, for their personal selfishness, have looted the wealth and resources of Jammu and Kashmir and crushed the rights and voices of the people here,. The people of J&K will not bear their atrocities anymore and are ready to teach them a lesson in these elections, increasing public participation in the DDC elections is going to add to their problems,. On the one hand, the enthusiasm of the BJP workers is at the peak, there is an atmosphere of disappointment among the PDP, NC and Congress. The activists and leaders of the Gupkar Alliance have already returned to their home after sensing their defeat,” he added.
Thakur said, “Modi Government has removed the Article 370 and 35-A which has been a curse over the years in Jammu and Kashmir and has provided a momentum to the development of the State and shield to the citizens of this place to live peacefully. . Jammu and Kashmir and the citizens of this place were deprived of the facilities for years due to 370 and 35A, which they were entitled to,. Some families have worked only to bake their political bread and live luxuriously”.
He said Modi has given this State its right and identity. After Modi granted the rights to J&K, there is a panic among these families and they are speaking anti-national language compromising the interests of the nation and are supporting enemies of the nation just to oppose Modi. For the prosperity, progress and peace in J&K, it is the collective responsibility of all of us that we ensure the win of BJP with an overwhelming majority in these DDC elections and reject these families destroying their nefarious plans, he added.
