JAMMU, Dec 2: The protest demonstration of 45 meritorious candidates in the Exhibition Ground near Press Club here, who had applied for various posts under PM package over years back and whose appointment orders were not issued by the concerned authorities till date entered 61st day today.
The protesting candidates are demanding issuance of their appointment orders immediately and accused the authorities for total discrimination with them. The protestors with play cards and banners in their hands alleged that the candidates with lesser points than them in the written tests and interviews were selected while they have been totally neglected by the authorities for the unknown reasons.
The protesting candidates today renewed their appeal to Lt Governor J&K, Manoj Sinha seeking his immediate intervention in the matter. They said that when the appointment orders of other candidates in the merit list were issued among whom many have secured lesser points than them then why they were ignored.
They said that for last many years they have been running from pillar to post for justice but the authorities at the helm of affairs are deliberately ignoring them. They said under what analogy the candidates having lesser points in written test or interview were appointed and those having more points were ignored. They said that many of them are at the verge of over age and their future will totally turn bleak in case authorities fail to provide justice to them as they have already left the private sector jobs in the hope of getting selected in J&K Government.
The protestors expressed the hope that LG will look into the matter and issue directives to concerned authorities of settling the issue without any further delay.
