JAMMU, Dec 2: An assault case against eight persons was registered today in police station RS Pura.
“The case was registered on the complaint of Harbans Singh of Kotli who submitted in his complaint that eight persons living in his neighbourhood, who had enmity with his family over some land issue, barged into his house with ‘lathies’ and sharp-edged weapons in their hands and tried to set afire his house and assault his family members,” a police official said.
He said that on the basis of the complaint, a case under relevant sections of law was registered against Kulveer Singh son of Gurmukh Singh, his brother Jeet Singh, son Shunty, Kashmir Singh son of Balvir Singh, his son Surinder Singh, Balvir Singh, Rani Kour daughter of Balvir Singh and wife of Ajeet Singh, and further investigation started.
