Kupwara teenager pens first book

Srinagar, Dec 3: A young writer from the remotest village of the north Kashmir’s Kupwara district has a message for the youth of the Valley in his newly published book- Apricity of Pain.
Bilal Ahmad Khan, 18, a student of Political Science (BA Honors) enrolled at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) belonging to Dardpora village of Kralpora, Kupwara in north Kashmir has tackled all the issues confronting the youth of the Valley in his newly launched book.
While talking to Excelsior he said the book would guide youth to tackle all their problems. “I have touched all the aspects of society especially the problems confronting the youth of Valley, particularly, those who are involved in wrongdoing. They will find my book very useful as it will help them to introspect and tackle their problems,” he said.
He said he wrote the book in the last five months. “I had been writing from my childhood but never published anything. I used the pandemic time to finally give a shape to my thoughts,” he said.
Khan said he has touched all the issues of humans in his book. “I have focused on matters humans face on a daily basis and given ways to deal with them,” he said.
The young author said that after the successful publication of his maiden book currently he is working on a comprehensive novel and a poetry book expected to be finalized very soon. “I belong to a laborer’s family. It wasn’t easy for me to overcome the daily challenges since there is no other source of income and help,” he said.
