DODA, Dec 3: A bootlegger was arrested today by Doda police while selling illicit liquor.
“Anit Singh son of Kulwant Singh of Shiva Doda was caught red handed while selling liquor illegally at exorbitant rates,” a police official said.
He said a team of police led by Incharge police post District Hospital Doda Mohd Afzal Naik under the supervision of SHO police station Doda Mushtaq Ahmed Jaral, Deputy SP Headquarter Doda Jaswant Singh, Additional SP Doda under the overall supervision of SSP Doda Mumtaz Ahmed carried out the raid.
“Nine bottles of 750 ml and 30 bottles of 250 ml of JK special whisky were recovered from the possession of the accused,” the official said. He added that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at police station Doda and further investigation started.
