JAMMU, May 4: Prominent Bollywood personalities including Anu Malik, Ashok Thakeria, Rajesh Khattar and Vandana Sajnani will be gracing the final of Zonal Level singing competition “Chhoona Hai Aasman Season-3”, which will be held on May 8, 2013 at 5 pm at Police Auditorium, Gulshan Grounds, here.
The event will be held under the overall supervision of IGP Jammu Zone, Rajesh Kumar.
DGP J&K will be the chief guest of the function.
16 singers from all 4 ranges of Jammu zone will compete for their selection to the grand finale which will be held in Kashmir by the end of this month. The winners of Grand finale will be imparted training in Mumbai so that they can compete in the National Level Singing competitions.
Program Chhoona Hai Aasman was initiated in December 2010 to spot the Talent among youths especially in the remote and far flung areas of the State in the Singing Competition. As per the format of the program open singing competitions are organized in the Districts and participants selected in the Districts compete at the Range Level and similarly Range level finalists compete at the Zonal Level and finally State winners are selected in the finale level.
The winners of last two years Chhoona Hai Aasman have already earned name and fame at the National level singing competitions. Miss Sonali stood second in “Voice of Punjab”, Sumit and Mudassir made it to the National Doordarshan and participated in “Bharat Ki Shan”. Similarly
Sonali , Nikhil and Priyanka made it to the last 16 finalists in “Indian Idol” and “Sare-Ga-Ma-Pa” program.
