People openly supporting BJP in Kashmir: Chugh

Srinagar, Dec 7: BJP National General Secretary and in-charge J&K and Ladakh, Tarun Chugh today said that despite negative propaganda by “Gupkar Gang”, people are supporting BJP in Kashmir.
Addressing a meeting in Shopian, Chugh said the way people were participating in the voting and the way celebrations were taking place overwhelmingly underlined the victory of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making J&K free from the terror of militants and encouraging people to exercise their franchise.
“It is the biggest achievement of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his leadership skills. We left no stone unturned to continue his vision and mission in the Valley,” he said.
He said that BJP’s agenda is development and prosperity. “Our party has a clear agenda of development and prosperity. We are not looters and have not deceived people like regional parties,” he said.
The BJP leader said that places like Shopian, Kulgam, Bandipora, Kishtwar, Doda, Ramban ,Anantnag, Baramulla which were considered the hotbeds of terrorists and where people were scared to come out in the open were celebrating the democratic rights today.
He said in all terrorists’ areas today people are taking out tonga rally, scooter rally with national flag in their hands which is a slap on the face of leaders like Mehbooba Mufti and Abdullahs who have been giving calls for boycotting the national flag.
Chugh said in this election the BJP was fighting against communal forces and the “tukade-tukade” gang who have been misguiding people of the state and have been trying to instigate anti-national feelings. “All such forces would be decisively defeated in the elections”, he added.
Chugh who is on a three-day visit to Kashmir Valley said that propaganda of “Gupkar Gang” has got no takers in the Valley and that the people of Kashmir are openly supporting BJP in the on-going District Development Elections (DDC) and Panchayat by-polls.
He appealed the people to vote for BJP and also negate opportunistic political fringe groups to teach them a life lesson.
“I have visited dozens of far-flung areas in Kashmir who are need of development and BJP will empower them all,” he said.
Chugh also met the Corporators of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) and Mahila Morcha workers and urged them to work for the people of Srinagar and smart city projects.
