Bovine smuggler held, 32 milch animals rescued

JAMMU, May 25: Police today arrested one bovine smuggler and rescued 32 milch animals during special naka at Narwal area.
Police spokesman said, that on specific inputs, police party from Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station laid a naka at National Highway Narwal and intercepted two trucks bearing registration no JKO3 4412 and JK03B 4089.
“The drivers speed up the trucks and abandoned the same, however one of the bovine smuggler namely Zahid, son of Ghulam Hassan, resident of Churath, Kulgam was arrested, spokesman said, adding, 32 bovine animals were rescued from the trucks.
A case under FIR No 29/12 stands registered at Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station and the police has started investigation.
Meanwhile, police challaned 69 motorcycles and seized 10 motorcycles without registration Nos. in Jammu City, North and South. Besides, tinted glass screen of 84 light vehicles were also removed during checking at different nakas.
