UDHAMPUR, Dec 10: Former Dy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Kavinder Gupta has said that Congress Party which used to be the first choice of people several decades ago has lost credibility due to its anti-people policies and some corrupt leaders which devastated the country brazenly with scams.
While campaigning in support of Party’s candidates in Udhampur today, Gupta said that the colossal loss which country had to face on account of rampant corruption by delinquent scions of Congress dynasty when got exposed, people turned their face away and reposed undaunted faith in the nationalistic political outfit- BJP, which after assuming power has been relentlessly steering the nation towards new heights progress and prosperity.
Asking people to support BJP candidates in the DDC polls, he said that Congress after losing sheen due to complete disconnect with people has become tail-ender in almost all States and shall soon face the same fate in J&K UT also with very little or no support from the electorate, whom the party abandoned drastically while in power.
“Although BJP’s one of the missions is making India Congress free, but what is surprising, is the fact that this century old party is dying its own death by unending internal rift and simmering anguish of its leaders and workers against the self-obsessed ‘Gandhi’ family giving little space to BJP or any other party to do the job,” Kavinder said.
He decried Panthers Party for clamour which its leaders make during the time of elections despite having disappointing track record of its MLAs at different points of time. Kavinder said that Panthers Party should do some soul-searching and analyze their standing in the UT polity and must think thousands of times before criticizing BJP or other parties as their MLAs’ ‘poor show’ was exemplary in itself since those voted for the party later regretted their decision.
Taking jibe at Panthers leadership, Kavinder said that writing articles and chiseling words is quite easy but doing work on ground is real difficult job which only BJP can accomplish with commitment and honesty.
