‘Gupkaris’ in desperation with BJP’s growing popularity: Shahnawaz

SRINAGAR, Dec 11: Senior BJP leader and national spokesman of the party, Shahnawaz Hussain today said that the party has gained popularity in Kashmir due to which Gupkar Alliance is frustrated.
Addressing a meeting of BJP Minority Morcha, Yuva Morcha, OBC Morcha and other workers at party headquarters in Srinagar, he said people have accepted the BJP and they are committed for development.
Hussain said people of Jammu and Kashmir will not fell again in Gupkar trap as they have exploited the people during the past 70 years.
“The people have rejected them openly during the ongoing elections and they should be ashamed after seeing the ground situation,” he said.
The senior leader said people are upset by their performance as they have deceived them and build their properties.
“People want an audit of their misdeeds and properties which they have made over the past years. BJP was always against the corruption and will not tolerate it at any level,” Hussain added.
Reacting about ongoing DDC and Panchayat elections, he said BJP is serious about these elections and party is reaching every corner of the Valley.
Briefing the upcoming rallies, Hussain said Union Finance and Corporate Minister, Anurag Thakur along with the party’s national general secretary, Tarun Chugh and J&K general secretary (Org). Ashok Kaul will visit Kashmir tomorrow.
“They will hold a massive rally at General Bus Stand Budgam where they are expecting huge participation of people,” he said.
BJP will hold a massive rally in Dal Lake on the 13th and another rally in Hajin area of Bandipora on December 14.
Shahnawaz appealed to people to come forward to support the BJP to see the vision of development. “We are committed and dedicated to our vision and mission in the region, after the abrogation of Article 370”, he added.
