Srinagar, Dec 11: Renowned educationist and religious scholar Maulana Noor Ahmad Trali today passed away in South Kashmir’s Tral after a brief illness.
Thousands attended his funeral prayers that ware held in Madrasa Taleeem-ul-Islam in Tral, while as the funeral was offered by Maulana Rehmatullah Qasmi of Darul Aloom Qasmia Bandipora.
Before the funeral prayers, Maulana Rehmatullah Qasmi highlighted the contribution of the departed soul in the field of religion and education and termed him a noble soul who always worked for the betterment of people. Maulana Noor Ahmad Trali was the patron of many religious schools and Darul Alooms. He was running a seminary called Madrasa Taleem-ul-Islam, Darul Aloom Noor-ul-Islam and Oriental College.
