2 civilians injured as militants attack police post with grenades in Sopore

SOPORE: Two civilians have been injured in a militant attack in Jammu and Kashmir. The attack was targeted against a police post in Sopore area of Baramulla district. Militants reportedly used grenades in the attack.
Today’s attack comes days after militants shot at and injured a candidate for the District Development Council (DDC) election in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on December 4.
Police registered a case in this regard under relevant sections of law. Investigation is in progress. The area has been cordoned. Search underway in the area. (Agency)
