REASI, Dec 13 :- Union Minister and senior BJP leader, Smriti Irani, while attacking People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) said that it was formed only to deceive the people of Jammu & Kashmir and loot the resources of nation.
Addressing public meetings in favour of party candidates at Panthal, Aghar Jitto and Kambal Danga, she said they formed the Alliance to deceive the people and loot the resources of the nation. “When the people were facing problems and scarcity of essentials during COVID pandemic they did not come forward and formed any alliance to serve the needy people but joined the hands for their own benefit now”, she added.
“This DDC elections is being held after so many years of struggle and efforts by the BJP for the welfare of the common masses and the people will respond surely and vote for BJP in this election. The Gupkaris never came together to benefit the people but only came together for their own power hunger. They never came together to provide food, toilet and other basic facilities to the needy, now they are claiming the sky to the people, she added.
She said these Gupkar leaders never cared for the common masses. They never cared for the health, but the BJP made arrangements for the hospital services to the needy in the form of AIIMS and this is today achieved only because of public’s valuable contribution of vote to the BJP.
While heaping praise on Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s leadership, she said that development in Jammu and Kashmir has begun after Article 370 abrogation. “It is only Modi whom you voted in 2014 and 2019 abrogated Article 370 and gave various rights to people of J&K who were earlier denied,” she added.
Irani further said that Gupkaris formed their alliance against the nation and they were always uttering against the Tiranga. They called for support from the China to defeat the nation and now people will teach them a lesson in this election, she added.
She, while highlighting the public welfare programmes launched by Narendra Modi Government like construction of toilets for women, providing gas connections to poor women, opening cashless accounts for the poor in the country said Modi Government provided free gas connections to eight crore women in the country showing the concern for their welfare, besides 11 crore toilets were constructed for poor in the country, she added.
She appealed voters to cast their vote in favour of BJP candidates for development at ground level.
