MULBPA flays Govt for not enhancing medical allowance

JAMMU, Dec 14: In a meeting here today members of Municipal & Urban Local Bodies Pensioners Association (MULBPA) have flayed the Government for not considering their demand of enhancement of medical allowance despite repeated requests though J&K has also become a Union Territory.
They also said that the Government has also not done anything for engaging the educated youth in Government jobs while the number of such youth is swelling with every passing day.
Issue of regularisation of daily wagers, contractual workers etc and release of DA instalments was also discussed in the meeting.
The speakers in the meeting also hailed the decision of Housing and Urban Development Department of J&K for the new policy under which the retired employees of JMC/SMC can retain residential accommodation.
B.S Jamwal, K.G Khajuria, J.R Sharma, A.K Gupta, B.D Verma, Jawahar Lal Sharma, M.L Gupta, S.K Sharma, Tarsem Lal Gupta, Gurdev Singh, Bahu-ud-Din and others were also present in the meeting.
