Modi regime ended favoritism: Bhagat

JAMMU, Dec 16: Senior BJP leader and former Minister, Bali Bhagat has claimed that his Party is fighting with the 70 years of regional discrimination with Jammu by Kashmir centric leaders.
Addressing a series of DDC poll meeting at villages N.S Pura, Baila Jamna and Ward 5 of Pargawal area, he said the mainstream political parties have always played divisive politics in J&K and deprived the people of Jammu of their due rights.
“All the major projects and developmental setups were diverted to Kashmir by successive politicians and they took Jammu as granted,” Bhagat said adding that BJP has ended the discrimination with Jammu.
“BJP brought many projects in Jammu division with fair share between the two divisions of J&K including sanctioned two and half km long bridge from Indripattan to Pargawal, four lanning of Jammu-Akhnoor-Poonch road, major projects in GMC Jammu like Ayurvedic Medical College, increase in medical seats to 63 students/per year, 300 bedded Bone and Joint Hospital in Jammu, new maternity block in SMGS-275 bedded, 100 bedded additional emergency block etc,” he maintained.
“State Assistance for Marriage Scheme and Ladli Beti Scheme besides old age, disabled pensions were also raised from Rs 200 & Rs 300 to Rs 1000,” Bhagat maintained adding that BJP is the only party which has eradicated favoritism.
The BJP leader also said that under the leadership of PM Modi, BJP will make Jammu division achieve new developmental heights and BJP’s unbiased UT leadership will do justice with the people of Jammu.
