JAMMU, Dec 16: All J&K Christian Sabha has nominated Social Activist and Chairman Kotli Colony Welfare Trust, Chandan Datta as their chief patron after it was decided unanimously in the executive body meeting of the Sabha.
In a press conference here today Sabha president Ashu Peter Mattoo after this announcement informed that recently they approached Datta for the long pending demand of Christian community for State land at Miran Sahib for graveyard purpose and he took the demand with district administration and on direction of DM Jammu, Sushma Chauhan Christian community has been permitted to use a piece of land for graveyard purpose.
Datta lauded the role of district administration to address the genuine demands of people and execution of government schemes at grass root level.
He also said: “We have to give a message of unity and will continue our efforts to work for Jammu region and it’s people irrespective of caste, colour, creed and religion.”
Sunny Khokhar, Sabha general secretary; Rohit Rockes, Lovely, Robin Bovas, Rafiq Gill, Vicky Bhatti, Pt. Raju Kumar, Arun Mattoo, Jasbeer, Balkar and Sunny Gill were also present in the press conference.
