JAMMU, May 7: Bharti Airtel today announced the launch of video downloads priced at just Re 1.
Announcing the launch of the video downloads at a press conference here today, COO Bharti Airtel, Dharminder Khajuria, said the new service was simultaneously launched all over India.
He said this proposition offers affordable video downloads across 8 genres including movies, lifestyle, music, comedy etc. The Airtel is aiming at introducing its more and more customers to the mobile internet experience, he added.
Mr Khajuria said back-end technology that powers this library of 30,000+videos is comfortable with all forms of mobile technology (GPRS/2G/3G) and works with over 500 mobile devices, including feature phones.
He said it very easy for an Airtel customer to access its all new Re one video downloads library. In option One, a customer can call toll free IVR52010 and he will receive a WAP link of Re 1 video store in his SMS inbox. Upon clicking on this link he will be taken to Re one video portal to follow the simple download process. In option second, the customer has to dial * 121*33# and he will receive a WAP link of Re one video store in his SMS inbox. After clicking on this link, the customer will get Re 1 video portal to follow the simple download process.
Mr Khajuria said in the option 3 a customer has to simply type http://v.airtellive.com in his phone’s web browser and follow the process to download.
Launching the Re one video downloads, the Airtel has also kicked off a high decibel TV campaign that extends the brand’s youthful positioning and presents a humorous take with scenarios showcasing the all new affordable mobile video downloads on Airtel. The campaign will also have an exciting outdoor and digital leg, which will further bring alive the proposition of the Re one video down loads, Mr Khajuria added.
