JAMMU, Dec 17: The Government today accorded sanction to the constitution of District Level Committee/ Committees for facilitating street vendors and enabling environment for them to carry out their business free from undue harassment.
Official sources said that District Magistrate/ Deputy Commissioner will be the Chairman of the Committee. Five other members of the Committee will be District SP, Traffic Incharge Police in the district, Joint Commissioner/ CEO/ EO of the concerned Municipal Corporation/ Council/ Committee and two representatives of the Street Vendors.
