Slathia inaugurates Rs 3.85 cr tubewell

JAMMU, May 7: MLA Vijaypur and Senior Vice President National Conference, S S Slathia, today inaugurated a tubewell at Ward No 3 Bari-Brahmana which was constructed with a cost of Rs. 3. 85 crore under LIC Towns.
The discharge capacity of this tubewell is about 8000 gallons per hour which will benefit the people of Ward No. 6 Bari Brahmana, Kothi Morh and several adjoining areas.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that Coalition Government headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah was committed to socio-economic empowerment of the people, especially those living in hilly, remote and far-flung areas. In this regard, a number of State and Centrally sponsored schemes are being executed with focus on rural and far off pockets.
On the occasion, local people apprised the MLA of their grievances and demands which included uninterrupted power supply, potable drinking water, better road connectivity and medicare, maximum coverage of deserving and needy people under IAY, BPL and other State and Centrally sponsored schemes, etc.
Slathia assured them that their genuine demands would be addressed at the earliest and issued on spot instructions to the concerned for early disposal of the issues brought up in the public meetings.
