KATHUA, May 7: The students owing allegiance to various student organizations held a demonstration at Main Chowk here today in protest against the failure of the Education Department for not introducing the subjects of proper combination in Higher Secondary schools of the district.
The protestors alleged that barring the two Higher Secondary schools in Kathua district all other higher secondary schools san proper combination of subjects causing a lot of problem to student community.
They warned to intensify agitation in case the issue was not settled by the education authorities immediately. They also sought the intervention of Deputy Chief Minister in the matter who is holding the Education portfolio.
