JAMMU, Dec 18: The Vegetable and Fruit Association here today elected S. Surinder Singh (Kala) as its president and Joginder Mohan Puri as general secretary for the period 2021-2022.
Other office bearers of the Association elected on this occasion were Vishal Kohli, vice president; Ankurn Anand, secretary and Tarsem Gupta, Treasurer.
A handout of the Association stated that Baldev Raj was the Election Commissioner for conducting the elections which were fair and free.
Filling of nomination papers was started on December 14 for which the last date was December 17.
Only five nominations were received for the five positions therefore all the contestants were elected unopposed.
