Agricultural operation under adverse weather conditions

JAMMU, Dec 18: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Science and Technology (SKUAST) Jammu organized programmes on managing agricultural operation under adverse weather situation for reducing the input cost for cultivation of various rabi crops in the area
The programmes, organized by Agrometeorology Section, Division of Agronomy in SKUAST-Jammu under SC-SP Programme of NICRA-AICRPAM Project in R S Pura villages, were proceeded by Dr Mahender Singh, Sr Scientist and Incharge AICRPAM.
He gave detailed information on importance of timely agricultural operations and saving of cost of input based on the weather forecast. He further emphasized the use of weather and climate based agro-advisories by the farmers to make more and more utilization to save the input cost of various crops by adopting forecasting issued by Agrometeorology Section, SKUAST-Jammu.
On the occasion, late sown improved wheat seed variety HD 3086 was also distributed to farmers
