REASI, May 8: By arresting wife of the deceased, Reasi Police have solved the case of blind murder of one Mohinder Kumar, whose decomposed body was found near his house at Salal Gurah in Reasi on May 1.
During interrogation, the arrested accused Rita Devi, who was married to elder brother of the deceased but had been in live-in relationship with the latter since death of her husband, confessed that she committed murder of Mohinder Kumar and then dumped his body beneath bushes nearby their house, informed SSP Reasi Raghubir Singh.
After committing the murder, Rita Devi packed the body in a gunny bag and then threw it in a nearby nullah. She also covered the body with some bushes and tried to clear all blood stains in the house. However, the matter came to light after foul smell was noticed by the local Sarpanch who informed police.
Police have also recovered weapon of the offence while more arrests are likely in this connection, the SSP added.
