POONCH, May 8: Trade worth over Rs 91 lakh took place at Chakkan-da-Bagh LoC point in district Poonch today.
An official spokesman said that goods including onion, fruits and tamarind worth over Rs 54 lakh, loaded in 25 trucks were sent to the Pak occupied Kashmir by the traders from this side today. Seven trucks loaded with goods like almonds, dry dates, apple and potatoes worth over Rs 37 lakh arrived here from the PoK side.
The cross LoC point was opened twice for the exchange of goods. Jagdish Ram from Indian side whereas Mohd Afzal from Pak side, were deployed as the trade facilitation officers.
