JU admission process begins

JAMMU, May 8: The process for fresh admissions to various PG course in Jammu University began today with sale of brochure forms for the JU Entrance Test.
There was heavy rush of admission seekers on the campus where long queues were seen for purchasing the forms and depositing the same.
Last date for the sale of Entrance Test forms is May 21 after which the same could be availed with a late fee till May 24.
The cost of brochure-cum-admission form is Rs 500 in the form of Demand Draft from any nationalized bank.
Meanwhile, activists of NSUI held a protest demonstration against alleged harassment of admission seekers who had to wait for hours together for getting Demand Draft prepared from the bank to purchase the admission form.
Demanding sale of admission forms against cash instead of DD, the protesting NSUI activists, led by Udhay Chib, approached Dean Academic Affairs Neelam Saraf and sought immediate instructions to the JU authorities in this regard.
The Dean is learnt to have assured necessary action in this regard so that admission seekers may not face trouble.
