JKP holds Chhoona Hai Aasman Season-III with fanfare

JAMMU, May 8: Jammu and Kashmir Police Department held Zonal Level Singing Talent Hunt “Chhoona Hai Asmaan Season-3” with a fanfare at Police Auditorium Jammu here today. Additional Director General of Police, J&K VK Singh was  the chief guest on the occasion, while Bollywood personalities Anu Malik, Ashok Thakeria, Rajesh Khattar and Vandana Sajnani were present on the occasion.
A total of 16 singers, both male and female from all 4 ranges of Jammu zone took part in the event of Solo songs. In Junior Male Category, the first place was bagged by Jagjot Singh , second place in this category was bagged by Sohaib Sajad and third places was bagged by Raghujeet Singh. Similarly, in junior  Female Category ,  the first place was bagged by Shriya , second place in this category was bagged by Anshu Desai  and third places went to Ritka Lama.
In senior Male Category, the first place was jointly bagged by Rakesh Kumar and Jagjot Singh while the second was bagged by ChamanLehri and third place went to Aisan Asgar Similarly, in senior Female Category, the first place was bagged by Miss Manju Bala, while the second was bagged by Aarti Dayal and third place went to Vishaka.
The Special guest on the occasion who along with the chief guest distributed the prizes among the winners of this event and awarded trophy and cash prize of Rs 5000, Rs.3000 and 1500 respectively.
The programme was witnessed by the Senior Officers of the Police Department and the members of the PAWWA Retired Police officers, prominent citizens and college students. Earlier,  the programme started with the welcome address by IGP Jammu Rajesh Kumar who highlighted the importance of the function.
The Bollywood personalities Anu Malik, Ashok Thakeria,
Rajesh Khattar and Vandana Sajnani lauded the role of J&K Police and thanked them  for organizing such programmes  under Civic Action Programme and said that they have never seen such programmes organized by the Police in other states of the country.
During the function the Bollywood artist Anu Malik sang a few lines of his famous songs
“Garam  Cha Ki Paili Ho “ and “Kali Kali Aankhay Gooray Gooray Gaal” The programme was organized by J&K Police Department under the overall supervision of IGP Jammu Rajesh Kumar, while SSP Samba Israr Khan was the chief Coordinator and Director of the  event Israr Khan presented the vote of thanks. It is pertinent to mention that the winners of last two years Chhoona Hai Aasman have already earned name and fame at the National level singing competitions. The winners of this Zonal level event will now participate in the Grand Fenale which will be held by the end of this month in Kashmir Valley.
