Theft case worked out, stolen jewellery recovered

UDHAMPUR, Dec 21: Ramnagar Police worked out a theft case and recovered stolen jewellery worth Rs 6,32310 besides arresting the accused, who included brother of the complainant.
The theft had taken place on December 12 at the residence of Varinder Singh, son of Sagar Singh in Ward number 5 Ramnagar when he along with his family had gone to his native village Kheen for attending a religious ceremony. The thieves had stolen the jewellery worth Rs 6 to 6.5 lakh from almirah, which was opened with some rod.
A case was registered in this regard under Sections 454/380 IPC. Acting swiftly SDPO Ramnagar G R Bhardwaj, SHO Ramnagar, Inspector Charanjeet Singh rushed to the spot and the crime scene was preserved, evaluated and analyzed.
On the basis of suspicion, the Ramnagar police zeroed in the suspicious persons who confessed to have committed the crime. The accused namely Vijay Singh, son of Sagar Singh of Ward number 5 Ramnagar (brother of the complained) and Sunil Singh son of Kuldeep Singh of Ward No. 12 Ramnagar were enquired. On the basis of their disclosure, stolen items were recovered. The investigation of the case is still going on.
