Migrant employees express concern over non release of cash

JAMMU, Dec 21: Migrant employees have expressed grave concern over non release of cash in lieu by the Government in their favour and termed it a grave injustice with them.
In a statement chairman, Agriculture Displaced Employees Welfare Association (ADEWA), Dr Manoj Nazir said Ministry of Home Affairs had written to Chief Secretary to resolve this long pending issue of the migrant employees with an action taken report to the Ministry but it is really very unfortunate that this burning issue of migrant employees is yet to be resolved.
He said if the Valley employees retired were given this benefit of cash in lieu despite that they were not able to attend their duties because of bandh calls and hartals and militancy what problem is with migrant Government employees who have been forced to leave Valley under the threat of miscreants and terrorists and became refugees in their own country.
He said the retired Government migrant employees have faith in LG and Chief Secretary that this long pending issue of leave encashment will be resolved at an earliest to give sort of relief to almost one thousand retired migrant employees who are deprived of this genuine cause.
He said all the retied Government migrant employees have been eagerly waiting for the settlement of the demand. He said UT of Jammu and Kashmir did not resolve the issue despite the appeals and submissions made by the displaced employees to almost all Governors as well as to LG Manoj Sinha.
