JAMMU, Dec 21: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today sealed seven municipal shops at Trikuta Complex Dogra Hall due to non-payment of rent dues.
A handout of JMC stated that sealing was done on the instructions of Commissioner JMC, Avny Lavasa and under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner (R) JMC, Sudhir Bali.
The shopkeepers were served several notices to deposit the rent arrears accumulated against them but despite lapse of stipulated time period they failed to deposit the same.
Further, JMC has appealed all municipal allottees Commercial/Residential to deposit rent dues along with GST upto December 30, 2020 to avoid legal action like sealing of their premises and cancellation of allotment.
