DDC elections victory of nationalist forces: Chugh

Srinagar, Dec 23: The BJP’s National General Secretary, Tarun Chugh today said that the majority of independent candidates who have won at different constituencies in DDC elections are going to support the BJP.
He said the party is confident of installing its chairpersons at about a dozen places and also that the victory of 59 independents also underlines the people’s mandate for the nationalist forces.
“Most of the independents would be supporting the BJP as they have won against the PAGD at all places,” Chugh said.
He also said that DDC elections in J&K have marked the victory of nationalist forces and has significantly endorsed the country’s democratic system,
He impressed that the mandate reaffirms that the people have supported the policies and programmes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and have adhered to strict democratic norms
“For once the disruptive forces were on the back seat as no attempt was made to foil the election process. This is a great victory of Modi’s vision for J&K,” he added.
