SAMBA, Dec 24: Staff scarcity has adversely affected the functioning of Municipal Committee (MC) of Samba.
Expressing concern over this, independent Municipal Councillor, Ravi Khajuria, also Chairman Sanitation Committee of Samba MC said there are vacant posts of Sanitary Inspectors, Chief Executive Officer etc in MC Samba which should be filled immediately so that the people of Samba may heave a sigh of relief.
He also said that even clerks working with Samba MC are daily wagers.
“Apart from this, there is poor availability of funds in MC Samba which is hindering the development works,” Khajuria said.
He further said that only 30 Safai Karamcharis are there to accomplish cleanliness and sanitation tasks in the 17 Wards falling in MC Samba.
The MC Councillor said that salaries to the employees of Samba MC are also not paid on time which causes problems in their daily lives.
