Appeal to LG

An appeal is made to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha regarding streamlining of process of renewal of registration of 15 years old vehicle.Earlier the process was stuck for a quite long time in RTO and Transport Department regarding non clarity about the same matter. After the issue was resolved and people were allowed to get renewal of registration a new impediment has cropped up.Now such vehicles are checked by an inspecting official of RTO before the process begins and such checking takes place on three days. But checking of vehicles by concerned inspecting official is highly arbitrary and standards applied are quite inconsistent. The inspecting official points out such smaller issues such as scratches on vehicles, small dents etc for rectification before he signs on the form. It is as such inconceiveable to vehicle owners as to how superficial aspects of their vehicles are pointed out when internal aspects of vehicles such as engine performance etc. and pollution certificate are up to date.It is like a doctor pronouncing a person seriously ill and needing surgery on examination of his skin which has few rashes, cuts and bruises. No formal order is shown to vehicle owners as to under which such observations and objections are required to be made by inspecting official concerned. The objections made on superficial apperance of vehicles needs thousands of rupees for rectification, which hapless owners of such vehicles need to expend to meet whimsical needs of inspecting official concerned. It seems ironic that people who have come for renewal of registration and cannot purchase new vehicles how can they meet these exorbitant expenses.Such owners of vehicles including me have meagre resources and need their old vehicles for medical emergencies involving old parents and their hospital visits.
It is as such requested to look into the matter personally and issue orders regarding inspecting officials to check performance parameters of vehicle, pollution certificate etc. and not the superficial appearance of the vehicle.

Bantalab Chowk cries for attention
Had Municipal authorities or local Corporator ever visited or passed by ever busy Bantalab Chowk, they would have come across numerous puddles that have surfaced on the roads joining each other in this chowk, particularly the Bantalab Barnai road.
The presence of such puddles not only hinders smooth traffic in this chowk but also poses danger to motorists as well as to pedestrians.
The situation turns horrible during marriage season when whole chowks gets clogged due to heavy presence of vehicles accompanying bridegroom’s car.
One wonders why Municipal authorities or for that matter the local corporator do not bother to get this road repaired to ease the movement of traffic here.

Repair Gujjarabad roads
This is to draw the attention of the JMC authorities towards the bad conditions of lanes and drains in Gujjarabad locality Janipur.
Almost all the lanes are not traffic worthy as one has to move over stones and boulders with which roads are paved. What is matter of dismay is that no one bothers to repair or blacktop them.
The filthy water from households accumulates on road surfaces creating puddles full of water. During rainy season, it is hell walking here. As the drains remain choked water gives an offensive smell making it quite difficult for passers-by to walk along these drains.
The JMC authorities are requested to blacktop all the roads and construct drains in the area.
