MENDHAR, May 10: A possible tragedy was averted after an Army patrol recovered an IED from a forward location in Mendhar area this evening.
Reports said that an army men during patrolling found a paint box filled with nearly 5kg explosive material fitted with detonators etc and alerted the villagers of the area. They restricted civilian movement and informed seniors. Later, Army experts in explosive handling defused the IED.
