JAMMU, Dec 30: JMC Councillor, Hardeep Singh Mankotia today started construction works of covering deep drains (Nallah) of Ward 26 in Subash Nagar area.
BJP District General Secretary, Karan Sat Sharma, locals and political activists of the area were also present on the occasion.
A handout stated that the works will be done under the supervision of Urban Environmental Engineering Department at an estimated cost of Rs. 22 lakh and the funds were provided to the JMC Councillor.
This is the second phase of the work started near a school in the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Hardeep Singh said it was a long pending demand of the locals there as the Nallah was not covered for a long time.
Karan said that BJP believes on the policy of ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sabka Vishwas’ and will keep working for the welfare of masses on every front.
He claimed that power and water scenarios are very much improved in Jammu West and every house enjoys best service as far as basic amenities are concerned.
The BJP leader also claimed that Jammu West touched new heights of development under the leadership of former MLA Sat Sharma.
BJP Mandal Vice Presidents, Jatin Gupta and Rohit Gupta, Sudesh Sharma, Pritima Sharma, Sandeep Singh, Pardeep Verma, Pawan Kotwal and others were also present.
