KATHUA, Dec 30: Sunil Kumar, a teacher and employee of Gems Cambridge International School Dasuya, honoured with Shiksha Gaurav Award 2020 by Community Education and Development (CED) Foundation and Global Talk Education (GTE) Foundation India.
The award was given away by Major Harsh Kumar Secretary NCERT in the presence of P Ravi Former Regional Director, NIOS, Dr AK Sharma Former Assistant Commissioner, KVS and Dr Priyadarshi Nayak Founder GTE foundation.
Total 1145 entries have received for this award out of which only 85 Principals, Vice-Principals and Teachers got awards across India and Gulf countries.
Shiksha Gaurav Award is given away for Innovative, inspirational and effective leadership, inventiveness to amplify student performance, promote safe and secure learning environments and improving the lives of the pupil.
Sunil had started his journey of teaching Commerce in 2004 with DAV Senior Secondary School, Kathua. Later, he joined RS Jagriti Niketen School, Kathua and St Xavier’s Convent School Kathua. In 2017, he joined Gems Cambridge International School, Dasuya (Punjab) where he worked till 2020.
In his career he has been felicitated with Smart Facilitator Award, Best Teacher’s Award by Management and Best PGT Teacher Award by students’ choice.
