RCom Q4 net down by 8.7 pc

MUMBAI, May 11:  Telecom major, Reliance Communications (RCom) net profit fell by 8.7 per cent to Rs 303 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2013 against Rs 332 crore for the same quarter last year.
The total income rose by 2.3 per cent to Rs 5,130 crore, against Rs 5,010 crore in year-ago period.
The company has posted a net profit of Rs. 624.00 crore for the year ended March 31, 2013 as compared to Rs. 156.00 crore for the year ended March 31, 2012, represnting an increase of 300 pc.
The total income has increased from Rs. 11863.00 crore for the year ended March 31, 2012 to Rs. 12820.00 crore for the year ended March 31, 2013, representing an increase of 8.06 pc.
RCom’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and  amortisation (Ebitda) stood at Rs 2,218 crore.
‘This is the second full year of positive free cash flow for the company and this trend shall continue in succeeding years,’ the company said in a release.
The Board of Directors of the Company has recommended a dividend of Re. 0.25 per equity share of Rs. 5 each i.E. 5 per cent for the financial year ended on March 31, 2013, subject to approval of the shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting, it added.
