REASI, Jan 1: A Power Development Department daily wager died today due to electrocution while repairing an electric line at Kampla, Dhanour area of district Reasi.
The deceased was identified as Gajay Singh, age around 35 years, son of Isher Dass, resident of Judda, tehsil Arnas. He was repairing an electric line at Kampla, when power supply was released from the feeding station resulting into his electrocution. He reportedly died on the spot.
Later, dead body of the deceased was handed over to the family members after postmortem and other legal formalities.
In a similar incident, another PDD daily wager had died in Mahore area , last week due to negligence of the department.
