PHE employees hold meeting

UDHAMPUR, May 11: PHE Employees Association held a meeting at Mansar under the chairmanship of Vijay Kumar, district general secretary, wherein various long pending genuine demands were highlighted.
The demands deliberated upon included change of designation as per nature of job being performed by them; Holding of DPC meeting which has not been convened for the past 15 years at divisional and provincial levels; Provision of new staff for new water supply schemes so that work could be executed smoothly without putting additional burden on the already over-burdened staff; Benefit of SRO 64 by way of regularizing the services of all daily wagers, ITI workers, community participation staff; Conversion of CP workers as daily wagers, making as daily wagers of Imprest/ Estimate workers; Promotion of qualified employees; and Engagement of Civil Division Workers in the Civil Division only.
Office bearers of the Association for Mansar were nominated with Kuldeep Sharma as president, Tara Mani as senior vice president, Balbir Singh as vice president, Avtar Singh as general secretary, Uttam Chand as organizer, Ashok Kumar as office secretary, Omkar Singh as cashier and Rajinder Singh Slathia as publicity secretary.
Others who addressed included Rattan Singh, Arjun Singh, Suraj Parkash, Subash Chander, Raj Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, Dinesh Kesar, Kuldeep Sharma etc.
