Extend date for filling forms under PM package: ASKPC

JAMMU, Jan 2: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its President Ram Krishen Wangnoo and laid thrust on extension of date of filling up of forms for recently announced 1997 posts under Prime Minister package to January 31, 2021.
While speaking, Wangnoo sought intervention of Lieutenant Governor for redressal of problems which Kashmiri Pandits face since Pan Islamic fundamentalists hounded them from their ancestral heritage Kashmir. He also demanded full payment of ex-gratia relief to the KP migrants, whose properties were destroyed by the inimical forces in Kashmir.
He appealed to the Government to redress the job issue of fourty five protesting Kashmiri Pandit youth, who had qualifying the criteria for the appointment under PM package.
Ravinder Razdan Vice-President said that ASKPC supports the demand of Prem Nath Bhat Memorial Trust’s demand to bring a Bill in the Assembly for the formation of a Temples and Shrines Board and requested other Kashmiri Pandit organizations to support (PNBMT) for pursuance of the demand till goal is achieved. He also demanded safe return of Kashmiri Pandits and their settlement at one place.
He added that due to COVID-19 pandemic, the Kashmiri migrant students pursuing education through online mode are facing problems due to small screens of mobile phones and demanded free laptops for them.
Bharat Bushan Gosani General Secretary has demanded enhancement of cash assistance to relief holders from Rs 3000 per head to Rs 10,000 per head.
Among others who attended the meeting were Veena Gurtoo, SK Raina, Bimal Wantoo, Ravi Raina Youth President, Sanjay Pandita, RL Koul, Shuban Pandit, Jawahar Lal Pandit, Greesham Gurtoo, Bushan Bhan, ML Bhat and Ashok Dhar.
