11 bovine animals rescued, one held

JAMMU, May 11: Police today rescued eleven bovine animals and arrested one smuggler from Miran Sahib area.
Police spokesman said that on specific inputs, police party from Miran Sahib police station laid a naka at Kotli Mian Fateh and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AD-0638.
During checking, police recovered eleven bovine animals and arrested the driver, who has been identified as Faryad Ali, son of Bashir Ahmed of Rangoora, he added.
A case under FIR No 54/13 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Miran Sahib police station and investigation started.
Police party led by SHO Ravi Singh Parihar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Diwakar Singh and SP Headquarters Shailender Singh.
