SRINAGAR, May 11: Scores of Government teachers today protested against the Government for their pick and choose policy to promote teachers.
The protesting teachers from different districts of Valley who protested here, said that they have been working in the far flung areas for last four years, but their juniors have been transferred and posted at their favorite places.
“The Department has promoted favourite candidates and transferred them at their choicest places, we deserving candidates were left as usual at our own places,” protesters said.
The teachers threatened to intensify their protests, if their genuine demands are not met immediately.
Pertinently, the Directorate of School Education, Kashmir (DESK) has recently promoted and adjusted more than 600 headmasters and lecturers in the Kashmir division.
