JAMMU, Jan 8: Asserting that Pakistan has no locus standi on Jammu and Kashmir, senior BJP leader and former Minister , Bali Bhagat today lashed out at former Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti for advocating dialogue with the neighbouring nation, saying that Mufti should focus on her work instead of making irrelevant statements.
The senior BJP leader said that the major issues of Jammu and Kashmir ended with the abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35A, and that the only point of focus for the Government is now development peace and progress, even as the security forces are already dealing befittingly with the terrorism.
“There is no issue in Jammu and Kashmir that involves any other country. Pakistan has absolutely nothing to do with us. It is beyond understanding how Mehbooba Mufti continues to harp on this agenda in this age and day,” he said.
The former Minister said that major issues that Jammu and Kashmir faced were Article 370 and Article 35A. With their abrogation on 5 August 2019, the only point of focus for the Government that remains now is peace and development. There is nothing more to it, and the Centre is already working on these issues,” he said adding that the security forces are already dealing befittingly with the terrorism.
“I can’t understand Mehbooba’s love for raking up Pakistan in everything,. Pakistan has nothing to do with Jammu and Kashmir, in any way. Pakistan is sponsoring terrorism against India since three decades and we need not talk to such a country”, he said.
“Mehbooba must stop this talk of dialogue with Pakistan. Instead, she must focus on her party and her constituency. The Government of India is taking care of the rest of the things,” he advised the PDP chief.
