JAMMU, Jan 9: Activists of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena under the leadership of their president, Ashok Gupta here today organised a protest rally demanding apology from former Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti for her Tiranga comment.
“Mehbooba Mufti must apologise before the country for her statement wherein she had said that no one will remain to hold Tiranga,” Gupta said while addressing protesters.
He also said that members of Mehbooba’s party after winning DDC elections took oath under Indian constitution which this clearly shows that she and her party members were standing under Indian flag.
Gupta said that army personnel defending nation’s border sacrifice their life to uphold the dignity of Tiranga but some Pakistan ideology based politicians talk against the national flag for their political interests.
He urged upon the Election Commission of India to bar Mehbooba from contesting any future elections till she apologises for her wrong remark.
The Shiv Sena leader also demanded an advisory in the form of a warning to every political party that nothing against the nation and constitution would be tolerated.
Nanku, Vijay, Rakesh, Ajay, Dinesh, Bantu, Naresh, Prem, Kalu, Vishal, Kirti, Abhishek and others were also present in the protest.
