5 injured in road mishaps

SRINAGAR, May 13: Five persons were injured in different road accidents in Kashmir valley today.
A Police spokesperson said that a Tipper bearing registration number JK01Q/7330 driven by Ghulam Mohammad Ganie, son of Mohammad Jamal of Galander, Awantipora, on way from Srinagar to Sopore turned turtle on National Highway at Chek Hygam Crossing, Sopore in Baramulla district. However, no loss of life or injury was reported in this incident.
Police said that an unidentified Maruti car hit a four- year old boy, Mohammad Rubani Khatana, son of Mohammad Yousuf resident of Jajjer Kotli, Jammu at Hutmurah on K.P Road, Anantnag, resulting in his injuries. The injured has been shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
A Xylo bearing registration number JK08B/7103 on way from Srinagar to Jammu hit a Maruti car near Gulab Bagh, Kulgam, resulting in injuries to two persons Ghulam Mohammad Malik and Abdul Rehman Sofi residents of Kralpora, Chadoora, Budgam. Both the injured were shifted to Qazigund Hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
Two Motorcyclists collided at Kilam, Kulgam, resulting in serious injuries to both the Motorcyclists Muzaffar Ahmad Najar, son of Ghulam Qadir and Suhail Ahmad Najar, son of Abdul Rehman residents of Kilam, Bozgam. The injured have been shifted to District Hospital, Anantnag, where from they were referred to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar for further treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
A Quails vehicles bearing registration number JK01G/7115 skidded off the road near Shankaracharya Temple, Srinagar, and fell in a gorge, resulting in damage to the vehicle. However, no loss of life or injury was reported in this incident. A case has been registered in this regard.
