JAMMU, Jan 11: Jammu and Kashmir BJP, spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, while charging the Congress of misleading the people on development in Jammu region during the last six years of BJP rule, said that the Congress has gone politically so bankrupt that what exists on ground is not visible to any of its leaders. They are making statements on daily basis, which are nothing but bundles of lies made just for their political survival.
Balbir in a statement here, today said that the Congress leaders should get themselves regularly updated before making attempts to mislead people as for development during the last six years under BJP rule is concerned.
Balbir said that be it Higher Education, Healthcare, road connectivity, upgradation of Airport, modernization of Railway Station, construction of bridges or development of water bodies, Jammu has, for the first time, received so much from the Centre in six years which has no comparison.
For Higher Education, Jammu got prestigious institutions like IIM, IIT, IIMC, IIHM, Degree Colleges. It got Ring Road, four lanning of Jammu-Poonch Highway and Ramban- Banihal Highway, Delhi- Amritsar-Katra Expressway, Keerian- Gandiyal and Indri Patan bridges, Ujh Multipurpose Project, Ratle Hydroelectric Project, Biotech Park, Devika and Mansar Rejuvenation Projects, Jambu Zoo, Cable Car, Multi-tier Parking at Bus Stand as well as resolved 40 year dispute over Shahpur Kandi which was put in cold storage by successive Congress and NC governments, he added.
In Health sector, Jammu got AIIMS, new Medical Colleges, Cancer Institute, Dialysis Centre in each district hospital, increase in number of medical seats, Ayushman Health Scheme for free treatment up to rupees five lakh, National Institute of High Altitude Medicine, Homeopathic College and so on.
He asked the Congress leaders suffering from political myopia to shed their politics of befooling and misleading the people and come out with their own achievements for Jammu during their 60 years of rule.
