JAMMU, Jan 13: Private Schools Association Jammu has demanded reopening of the schools in Jammu and Kashmir before January 26, 2021 on the pattern of Punjab.
The demand was raised during a meeting of the Association to discuss the teething problems of private schools functioning in rural areas. The meeting was organized by Lal Chand Gandotra, under the chairmanship of Rameshwar Mengi in the premises of SSK Hr Sec School Marh, Jammu.
Members’ from different rural areas highlighted their problems before the Central Executive body of JKPSA. They said that students in the rural areas are the worse sufferer because of online mode teaching and closure of schools.
Ajay Gupta, General Secretary of the Association, appealed to the Government for the withdrawal of circular number 01Edu of 2020, dated 14/05/20 which was issued during lockdown and restoration of order number 01, which was issued on January 28, 2019 by the Committee for Fixation of Fee Structure of Private Educational Institutions, J&K for the collection of fee by the Private schools.
Rameshwar Mengi demanded reopening of the schools in Jammu and Kashmir before January 26, 2021 on the pattern of Punjab from class 6th to 12th.
Those who attended the meeting, included Sham Lal Vaid, R P Sharma, Siddheshwar Sadotra, Ankush Verma, Raja Shahzad, Usha Jamwal, Anita Ganjoo, Dr Asha Dhar, Sarojni Saraf, Santosh Sharma, Davinder Singh, Rajinder Paul, Anil Sharma, Raj Kumar Sharma, B D Verma and others.
