JAMMU, Jan 15: The Municipal and Urban Local Bodies pensioners have urged upon the Administration to increase Medical Allowance of the Government employees and pensioners to Rs 1000 per month and also release their DA installments which have been been freezed by the Central Government.
In a meeting of the Municipal and Urban Local Bodies Pensioners’ Association (J&K) here today, its president B S Jamwal discussed the pending issues of the retired employees. B D Sharma, general secretary demanded that J&K Govt must increase the Medical allowance of the pensioners and employees from, Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month as per Central norms. He also demanded immediate release of two pending installments of opf Dearness Allowance (DA) in favour of employees/pensioners. He said the price hike of essential commodities has put extra burden on the lower and middle rung employees and pensioners.
