42 kgs of charas recovered

Srinagar, Jan 16: Police today said to have recovered 42 kilograms of charas from a residential house in Bonpora, Tukhan village of district Anantnag.
A police spokesperson said that on specific information, a police party headed by SDPO Bijbehara along with Executive Magistrate Bijbehara raided a residential house of Bilal Ahmed Dar at Bonpora, Tulkhan.
“During the search, officers were able to recover 42Kgs of charas powder concealed in two bags from the house,” the police said.
The owner of the house was not arrested, as the police said that the accused person is at large and efforts are on to effect his arrest.
Accordingly, the police said, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered and investigation in the matter has been initiated.
